Implementasi Inovasi Teknologi Pengelolaan Sampah Organik Rumah Tangga pada Pimpinan Ranting Muhamamdiyah (PRM) Citeureup Kota Cimahi

The waste vomule is increasing as citizen population increase. The majority of waste sourced from households and is food waste. Waste management from its source (household) is an effective step to reduce waste volume. Pimpinan Ranting Muhammadiyah is the smallest organizational unit of Muhammadiyah and households’ level. The purpose of this community service is to implement innovations in household organic waste management technology, Octagonal Composter or Octaco at Pimpinan Ranting Muhammadiyah of Citeureup, Cimahi City. The methods in this community service are program socialization and FGD, training in innovations household organic waste composting technology (Octaco), composting practices, monitoring and evaluation. After successfully composting, Pimpinan Ranting Muhammadiyah of Citeureup train the community to compost using Octaco technique. This technological innovation is easy to understand and apply by community in managing household organic waste. This community service is essential to implement in every Pimpinan Cabang dan Ranting Muhammadiyah, considering that the waste problem needs to resolved from the source (household). Pimpinan Ranting Muhammadiyah can be a trainer of this technology, in terms of environmental and social preaching, inherent in the identity of the Muhammadiyah organization as a progressive Islamic organization and solution of ummah problems.
