PENGEMBANGAN SEDIAAN GEL BERBASIS EKSTRAK IKAN GABUS DAN ASTAXANTHIN UNTUK PENYEMBUHAN LUKA BAKAR PADA MODEL HEWAN TIKUS

Luka bakar menyebabkan kerusakan jaringan ditandai penurunan aktivitas scavenging dan antioksidan. Ekstrak Ikan gabus kaya akan protein hewani sumber albumin, yang berkhasiat dalam mempercepat proses penyembuhan luka. Haematococcus pluvialis merupakan mikroalga yang mengandung senyawa astaxantin dengan aktivitas antioksidan lebih poten dibanding beta karoten dan vitamin E. Penelitian terhadap penggunaan kedua bahan tersebut dalam sediaan gel bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas gel kombinasi astaxantin dan ekstrak ikan gabus untuk luka bakar disertai evaluasi sediaan gel. Uji efektivitas diawali pengkondisian luka bakar terbuka pada tikus, kemudian luka diolesi gel F0 (basis), gel F1 (kontrol positif), gel F2 (gel ekstrak ikan gabus 10 g dan astaxantin 0,0032 g) dan gel uji F3 (ekstrak ikan gabus 15 g dan astaxantin 0,0032 g). Terhadap gel uji dilakukan standarisasi ekstrak dan evaluasi gel. Efektivitas gel diuji melalui pengamatan dan pengukuran luka bakar berbentuk lingkaran pada tikus, disertai perhitungan persentase penyembuhan. Hasil pengukuran diameter luka bakar setelah perlakuan didapat, rata rata diameter luka pada F0 8,87 mm, F1 6,79 mm, F2 2,50 nm dan F3 1,91 mm. sedangkan data rata rata persentase penyembuhan F0 62,93 %, F1 45,08%, F2 87,49 %, dan F3 89.92%. Data dianalis menggunakan SPSS versi 16. Hasill analisa menunjukan bahwa gel basis, kontrol positif dan gel uji tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signikan terhadap kemampuan penyembuhan
