PEMBENTUKAN NANOSTRUCTURED LIPID CARRIER TRETINOIN MENGGUNAKAN COMPRITOL® ATO DAN CREMOPHOR® RH 40 DENGAN METODE SONIKASI PROBE

Tretinoin merupakan retinoid generasi pertama yang banyak digunakan dalam pengobatan jerawat yang memiliki karakteristik yaitu bersifat lipofilik (LogP 6,3) dan berpotensi sulit diformulasikan dan pengaplikasian dapat mengiritasi kulit. Salah satu alternatif sistem penghantaran tretinoin adalah Nanostructured Lipid Carrier (NLC) yang merupakan sistem penghantaran terdiri dari campuran lipid cair, lipid padat, dan surfaktan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan dan karakterisasi NLC tretinoin menggunakan lipid padat Compritol® ATO dan surfaktan Cremophor® RH 40. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan NLC tretinoin dari lima formula dengan variasi konsentrasi lipid padat dan surfaktan, metode yang digunakan homogenisasi panas dan dilanjutkan dengan sonikator probe selanjutnya dilakukan karakterisasi meliputi ukuran partikel, indeks polidispersitas, dan potensial zeta serta penetapan efisiensi penjerapan. Hasil karakterisasi NLC tretinoin selama 30 hari memiliki karakterisasi yang baik yaitu ukuran partikel <600 nm, indeks polidispersitas <0,5, zeta pontensial + -19 mV dan efisiensi penjerapan >80% serta memiliki bentuk morfologi yang sferis.
