About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Hexagro is a scientific periodical publication that disseminates research results to lecturers, researchers, students, and practitioners. Hexagro has accommodated the original scientific articles focused on agriculture. The scopes included agricultural development, agronomy, agribusiness, social economy of agriculture, extension, agricultural policy, agricultural finance, trading and marketing, supply and value chain, entrepreneurship, urban farming, climate change, and environmental issues. 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Publication Ethics

Jurnal Hexagro is a peer-reviewed electronic journal. This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the chief editor, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewer, and the publisher (LPPM-Universitas Perjuangan Tasikmalaya). This statement is based on the COP's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

SECTION I: Publication

  1. All submitted manuscript is reviewed by at least one reviewers who have expertise in their subject.
  2. The originality, soundness, novelty, and language are factors that are taken into account in review by reviewers.
  3. The review result is categorized into eligible to publish in Jurnal Hexagro without revision, eligible to publish in Jurnal Hexagro with minor revision, eligible to publish in Jurnal Hexagro with major revision, and rejection.
  4. If authors are encouraged to revise and resubmit a manuscript, there is no guarantee that the revised submission will be accepted.
  5. The rejected manuscript will not be re-reviewed.

SECTION II: Editor

  1. Editors have full responsibility and authority to reject/accept a manuscript.
  2. Editors should guarantee the quality of the papers published in Jurnal Hexagro.
  3. Editors should provide all the information needed by authors to improve the publication.
  4. Editors should preserve the identity or anonymity of reviewers.
  5. Editors should publish an errata page when needed.
  6. Editors should not allow any conflicts of interest among authors, reviewers, and board members.

SECTION III: Authors

  1. Authors have to certify that the manuscript has not previously been published or is not considered for publication elsewhere.
  2. The authors have to certify that the manuscript submitted is free from plagiarism.
  3. According to national, international, or applicable regulations for conducting scientific research, the authors state that the experiment conducted is according to national, international, or applicable regulations.
  4. The authors have to follow the rules of the guidelines of Jurnal Hexagro.
  5. The authors state that all data analyzed are real.

SECTION IV: Reviewers

  1. Reviewers should evaluate a manuscript solely on academic merits, and if a conflict of interest is detected, it should be immediately reported to the editor.
  2. Reviewers have to keep all information relating to the manuscript reviewed.
  3. Reviewers should review a manuscript objectively.
  4. Reviewers should clearly notify the authors of any unclear statements.
  5. Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competition or relationships with any authors.
  6. If plagiarism is detected, reviewers should notify the editors immediately.

Author Fees

Every manuscript submitted to Jurnal Hexagro is free of charge.
