Retraction, Correction, Complaints and Appeals
HEXAGRO follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines to keep the scholarly record accurate.
Corrections (Erratum/Corrigendum). When a published article contains an error that does not affect its conclusions, the journal publishes a correction notice that links to the original article. The article file is updated and the change is recorded.
Expression of concern. When there is evidence of possible misconduct but an investigation is not yet complete, the editor may publish an expression of concern.
Retraction. An article is retracted when there is clear evidence that its findings are unreliable (because of misconduct or major error), or in cases of plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated data, unethical research, or serious undisclosed conflicts of interest. A retraction notice stating the reason is published and linked to the article. The original article stays online, clearly watermarked "RETRACTED", and its metadata is updated in Crossref.
Complaints. Complaints about the editorial process, a decision, or possible misconduct can be sent to the Editor-in-Chief at hexagro@unper.ac.id. The complaint should give the manuscript or article details and the reason. The journal acknowledges receipt within 7 days and aims to conclude within 30 days, following COPE guidance.
Appeals. Authors may appeal a rejection once, within 30 days of the decision, by sending a reasoned letter that responds to the reviewers' comments. The appeal is assessed by an editor who was not involved in the original decision, who may seek an additional review. The outcome of the appeal is final.
