Conflict of Interest Policy
All authors, reviewers, and editors must declare any financial, institutional, personal, or academic relationship that could influence, or appear to influence, their work for HEXAGRO.
Authors declare all funding sources and any competing interests in a Conflict of Interest statement in the manuscript. If there are none, they state: "The authors declare no conflict of interest."
Reviewers must decline an invitation to review if they:
- work at the same institution as any of the authors, or have collaborated or co-published with them in the last 3 years;
- have a personal relationship or rivalry with any of the authors;
- have a financial interest in the outcome of the research.
Editors do not handle manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest; such manuscripts are assigned to another editor.
Manuscripts from editorial board members and reviewers
- Editors, editorial board members, and reviewers may submit manuscripts, but are limited to one article as first or corresponding author per volume.
- Their manuscripts are handled by an editor with no conflict of interest, and they have no access to the review process or the identity of the reviewers.
- These manuscripts follow the same double-blind review and acceptance standards as all other submissions.
- A person cannot review a manuscript in the same issue in which they appear as an author.
Undisclosed conflicts of interest discovered after publication may lead to a correction or retraction.
