Livestock reproductive technology has advanced from conventional methods toward integrated systems combining Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART), genomic selection, in vitro embryo production, and digital innovations. This integration can boost genetic efficiency by raising selection intensity, speeding up reproduction of superior stock, and shortening generation intervals. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Data were gathered from Scopus, Google Scholar, and PubMed, covering publications from 2020 to 2025. After applying defined inclusion and exclusion criteria and thematic synthesis, 189 initial records were screened: 43 duplicates removed, 146 assessed, and 32 selected for final analysis. Five core themes emerged: optimization of gamete and embryo quality, genomic selection integration, genetic multiplication via AI, ET and IVEP, cryopreservation and biosafety, plus digitalization and artificial intelligence. Technologies such as artificial insemination, embryo transfer and IVEP help increase genetic gain by maximizing offspring output from superior individuals. Combining genomic selection with embryo tools allows early identification of animals or embryos with high genetic potential. However, adoption remains limited by biological barriers, technical challenges, high costs, infrastructure gaps, biosecurity concerns, regulations, and user acceptance. Merging reproductive technologies with genomic selection, data management and artificial intelligence offers a powerful path to accelerate livestock genetic improvement. Successful implementation demands an integrated, precise and context-adaptive strategy, while carefully balancing biological, economic, social and sustainability aspects.
